‘Broken Walls’ concert in Flandreau
Community members are invited to a free per-
formance of this year’s Pipestone Area Marching
Arrows parade and field shows Friday, Sept. 5 at
7:30 p.m. at Paulsen Field.
This year’s field show, “Clockwork,” illustrates
the concept of time seeming to move slowly
at times and more quickly at other times as
the hands tick, tick, tick around the clock. The
parade show, “A matter of red, white and blue,”
is a published show that includes a medley
of patriotic songs. The band has a head start
with their parade show this year, having already
practiced it for months and performed it during
Independence Day parades in Randolph, Mass.
and Bristol, R.I.
The community night performance kicks off
a 2014 season in which the Arrows will perform
in Sioux Falls, Worthington, Waseca, Luverne,
Brandon, Chanhassen and Vermillion.
Marching Arrows community night
performance Sept. 5
‘BrokenWalls’ will present a
community concert in Flandreau,
S.D. on Friday, Sept. 5 at 7 p.m.
at the Flandreau Indian School
Auditorium located at 1132 N.
Crescent Street in Flandreau.
Admission is free but an offering
will be taken for the group during
the evening.
Based on Native American/
First Nations Heritage of North
America, Broken walls is a band
that travels extensively around the
world communicating a message
of restoration, dignity, self-respect,
and Creator’s Love to all cultures.
This message is communicated
uniquely through music, songs,
dance and storytelling from a
Native American perspective.
BrokenWalls is hosted by
the Flandreau Indian School
Chaplaincy Program. For more
information contact chaplain Bill
Britton at 605-864-8625.
